We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Dietitian to support and deliver our growing Health community Services which include programmes for Type II diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Weight Management (Adult or Childhood), Cardiovascular and workplace health. Our programmes are delivered face to face and/ or virtually and combine nutrition, behaviour change and physical activity. You will be involved in developing and providing the nutrition aspects of the programmes as well as other aspects as the need arises.  

Successful candidates will have significant clinical experience in two or more areas:

· Type 2 diabetes

· Gestational diabetes

· Adult weight management/ obesity services/ bariatric services

· Childhood/ family weight management

· Cardiovascular health

· Workplace health/ public health

· Successful candidates will also have line management or service development experience in addition.

· All candidates must have significant experience in delivering face to face and digital/virtual interventions to individuals and groups.


· Programme Management – this includes managing development and evaluation process.

· Line Management within the MDT

· Deliver training and supervision to health and wellbeing coaches and be involved in the internal qualitative assessment framework.

· Support Dietetic student placements.

· Maintaining adequate CPD and continue to meet HCPC registration requirements

·  Working closely with internal/external stakeholders

 Essential Experience and Qualifications:

· You are a HCPC Registered Dietitian with a minimum 3 years post graduate experience and training.

· Membership of BDA or evidence of alternative professional indemnity insurance.

· Previous experience of presenting information in a confident, engaging and interactive manner to adults.

· Experience in delivering face to face groups and be familiar with delivering virtual interventions (phone and online learning)

· Evidence of continuing professional development

· Demonstrates highly developed motivational and negotiating skills to effect change

· Evidence of conducting clinical audit/research

· Experience in the clinical supervision and management of junior staff and students

· Ability to prioritise own workload

· Ability to work as part of a team

· Good oral and written communication skills with people from a wide variety of backgrounds

· Confident, Passionate and Self Motivated

· Flexible, adaptable and creative under pressure

· Able to respond to unpredictable work patterns and changing priorities

· Able to work effectively within in a team and support other members

· Able to set priorities and meet regular deadlines

· Able to reflect and appraise own performance and set personal objectives

· Communicate effectively with your line manager as appropriate

 Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

· Additional training in areas such as motivational interviewing and behaviour change.

· Activity within BDA Specialist Group 

· Undertaken research

· Fluent in additional languages.
