We are looking for an Accounts Supervisor to join our busy finance team within the Hertfordshire office (Turnford). The role plays a key part in the day-to-day business with a particular focus on Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.

What you’ll be doing;

Working closely with our Accounts Manager, you’ll be responsible for reviewing current processes for efficiency, ensuring strong financial controls throughout the company's processes and systems, managing team objectives & development and supporting activities will encompass a range of hands-on tasks and providing proactive analysis and insight on business performance.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Supervising team of 3 ensuring tasks are complete to company deadlines
  • Processing and payment of supplier invoices in accordance with supplier terms and conditions, Chasing clients/credit control for missing remittances
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliation
  • Processing of remittances, bank payments and applying client payments
  • Set up day to day bank payments and account transfers
  • Supporting with monthly management accounts procedures and reporting

 What you’ll have;

  • Proven experience within a similar role
  • Familiarity with Great Plains system would be advantageous but not essential
  • Good accounting knowledge and a commercial approach
  • Experience in customer relations & solving queries in effective time scale
  • Ability to work autonomously with a hands-on approach, good organizational skills and the ability to respond to tight deadlines
  • Competent IT skills including Excel

Salary: £26,000
