Data Processing Administrator

Full Time 37.5 hours P/W – Permanent Contract

We are currently seeking a Data driven individual, to be part of our Referral Team. 

This role involves processing all GP referrals and utilizing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software which reads all electronic referrals. This opportunity is suited to someone who comes from a Data processing background and accustomed to handling medical information in a sensitive and accurate manner.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Daily monitoring of NHS inboxes and responding to referral queries.
  • Referral processing - migrating referral data onto the system and ensuring that this is processed accurately.  
  • Carry out systematic enquiries on behalf of GP's when requested.
  • Monitor Service User records and notify Practices when their Patients have started the programme. 
  • Responsible for undertaking all administration duties required to ensure GP practice referrals are successfully imported into our patient management system.
  • Send quarterly GP reports. 
  • Follow up calls with GP practices where necessary in order to retrieve missing referral data. 


Qualifications and Experience:                       

  • Data Processing - It is essential that you come from a Data processing background. 
  • You are able to demonstrate high attention to detail towards Data handling.
  • Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages - including Excel. 
  • You have the experience of identifying Data trends and communicating these with Stakeholders. 
  • It will be highly desirable for you to come from a Medical or Healthcare, data driven background.
