Salary: £35,000-£38,000  

Pulse Nursing at Home is currently looking to recruit a passionate and knowledgeable Registered Nurse to work with our Complex Care Clinical Team as a Clinical Auditor. The Registered Nurse will help deliver a professional and high-quality Audit service within the ICS Community Healthcare business. The role will involve auditing the content and relevance of Community clients, both adults and paediatrics, against business processes, compliance and contractual requirements.

Key Tasks: 


Together with Regulations Manager and Senior Clinical Lead, maintain the divisions Internal Clinical Audit function in line with requirements covering things such as:

  • Evaluating risk assessments, service level agreements and care plans
  • Initial clinical audit for each package within 4 weeks of a package going live
  • Ongoing audit of all contemporaneous care documentation returned form the client’s home
  • Adhoc – dependent on business need
  • Escalation of clinical concerns using the Red Flag Process


Ensure audits are carried out in line with the audit schedule.

Carry out planned and systematic Internal Audits, in line with Company requirements evaluating the following:

  •              Risk Assessments
  •              Client Service Specifications
  •              Care plans
  •              Mars charts
  •              All forms
  •              Daily records
  •              Checklist

Skills and Experience:

  • Good IT skills
  • Current NMC PIN
  • Flexible working approach
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in producing reports                                                                               
  • Experience in care planning                                                                                       
  • Experience in risk management planning                                                              
  • Experience in developing and analysing risk assessment                
  • Up to date with relevant legislation and Clinical Guidelines
