Pulse are based in our Hertfordshire and London offices and are one of our largest brands. They are a leading provider of health and social care staffing to the UK and international healthcare sectors. They support NHS Trusts and the private health sector providers by placing expert and compliant nurses, midwives, doctors, allied health professionals (AHP), psychological therapists, health sciences, and social workers into the right permanent and temporary roles in the UK, Middle East and Australia.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Pulse as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, we are looking for some enthusiastic, organised and professional individuals to join the team. The role will involve achieving high sales performance, ensuring client management and candidate control, managing associates and ensuring quality control.

What you will be doing:

  • Source and record vacancy information including details such as duties, working conditions, hours, pay rates and any relevant experience
  • Develop relationships within client organisations
  • Checking references of candidates before referral to client
  • Ongoing associate availability calling
  • Responsibility for answering incoming calls efficiently – presenting a professional and business-like manner at all times
  • Ensure all advertisement responses are actioned on the date of receipt

  • Ability to organise and prioritise own work load
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Ability to resolve queries in effective time scale
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision                         
  • Professional and driven                                                                                                
  • Enthusiastic and committed to the business objectives of the Company 
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others
  • Experience of working in a sales, recruitment or healthcare environment are desirable
  • Strong IT skills are desirable

As this is a trainee role, we will be hosting an assessment centre in our Hertfordshire office on Thursday 30th January. This will give us a chance to get to know you and how you work in a team, and for you to learn a bit more about the company and the role you would be working in.
