Following continued success within the organization, we are looking to expand our London Coaching team. We are on the search for a Bengali speaking Health and Wellbeing Coach, to help deliver our Diabetes Prevention Programme to the Bengali speaking community in London. The framework you will be delivering is focused on Physical Activity/Nutrition/Behavioral Change.  

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • This role will require you to conduct Group delivery sessions across London with our Service Users. In English and in Bengali.
  • Deliver 1:1 Initial Assessment sessions to new Service users who come through our GP referral Model. In English and in Bengali.
  • Report Writing – for each group session you deliver, you will be writing reports on the Service User activity, development and progress.
  • Data Collection – across each stage of the programme, you will collect Service User Data and ensure that this is maintained and recorded accurately on the internal system.
  • From time to time, you will be conducting Risk assessments with your Service Users. Delivering the information to these Service Users in English and in Bengali to those for the Bengali community.
  • Build trust and working relationships with your Service Users. Engaging with your Service Users to build their commitment and trust towards you as a Coach.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • It is essential for you to be fluent in Bengali to a native speaking level.
  • Full fluency in English – speaking, writing and listening.
  • Must hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Nutrition or Sports/Exercise related subjects.
  • REPS Level 3 Personal Training qualification will be considered if you do not have a degree.
  • Minimum experience of up to 12 months of delivering a Chronic Disease Programme, ideally around Type II Diabetes.
  • Proven experience of delivering information within a 1:1 and Group capacity.
  • Track record of building internal and external Relationships within a Multi-disciplinary function.
