Full Time 37.5 hours P/W – Permanent Contract

Working with local authorities, CCGs and employers, we design, implement and evaluate innovative health and wellbeing services that will result in long-term health benefits through sustained behaviour change.

We are currently seeking an Adminstrator to join our busy Patient Support Team, providing support for a National Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP). This lifestyle intervention is delivered by a team of trained professionals and focuses on helping service users to reduce their risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.

This role involves processing all GP referrals and utilising Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software which reads all electronic referrals. This role would suit someone who has data processing experience working within a public health/promotion environment and who is accustomed to handling medical information in a sensitive and accurate manner.

Responsibilities Include:

·       Responsible for undertaking all administration duties required to ensure GP practice referrals are successfully imported into our patient management system.

·       Daily monitoring of NHS inboxes and responding to referrers queries

·       Carry out systematic enquiries on behalf of GP’s when requested

·       Making outbound phone calls to GP practices where necessary to collect missing referral data

·       Notifying practices when their patients have started the National Diabetes Prevention Programme or their patient’s blood test results are indicative of type 2 diabetes

·       Sending quarterly GP reports

 

  About You

  • Self-motivated and driven, ability to work without supervision                            
  • High attention to detail ensuring data quality and accuracy               
  • Strong IT skills with good knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Good communicator at all levels
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Experience in a similar role
