Clinical Quality Officer (Office-based Registered Nurse, Band 6)

Thornbury Nursing Services has an extremely exciting opportunity for a person-centred, care focused Registered Nurse to join us and support our Community Placement team. This role is office-based and will compliment the current team structure – providing a crucial link between our complex clients and the operations team providing nurses and carers for them.

Although we do have a full-time requirement, this role would be ideal for somebody seeking a flexible work/life balance in a role that can be moulded to suit the right person.

Under the direction and guidance of our Community Business Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our existing non-clinical team to answer queries from our service users, clients and agency workers. You will have full responsibility for reviewing new and existing care plans and providing clinical instruction for incoming clients, informing the activity of our operational team. This is a role that would suit somebody used to taking on personal responsibility – a strong decision-maker and a proactive sense of urgency.

Key tasks include:

  • Escalation for service users and workers, safeguarding and CQC notifications
  • Quality Management
  • Advising colleagues on clinical best practice
  • Maintaining existing business
  • Reviewing care plans for incoming clients
  • Active involvement in the ongoing management of care packages
  • Providing clinical guidance for complaints and incidents

Skills and experience:                                                    

  • Band 6 or above with experience in complex care or ITU
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own and business workload
  •  Passionate about delivering excellence Strong decision making ability             
  • Strong interpersonal skills
