Patient Coordinator

Hours: Full time, 37.5 Hours per week 

Shifts: 9-5 + 11-7 twice per month & 1 Saturday

Starting Salary: £18,000 per annum + bonus

ICS Health & Wellbeing are currently seeking a Customer Service Patient Coordinator to join our National Diabetes Prevention Service team. This role will provide telephone and administration support to our patients who are initially joining us, as well as those who are already enrolled on our pragamme. This is not a sales role, but a coordination role in a fast-paced Patient Support Team, with KPI’s relating to call volume and quality. This lifestyle intervention is focused on helping service users reduce their risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.

Key tasks include:

  • Being responsible for taking new patient referrals, booking one-to-one and group appointments and dealing with patient/referrer/coach enquiries
  • Ensuring patients receive excellent customer care by having a great knowledge of the programme and its benefits
  • Answer calls swiftly to reduce the time spent queuing
  • Building a good relationship with patients through sensitive understanding of their needs and requirements
  • Handling sensitive data with attention to detail, and maintaining accurate service user records
  • Supporting the service user engagement strategy to ensure adherence to the programme and minimise drop-outs
  • Supporting with office administration tasks as required
  • Monitoring of shared mailboxes
  • Identifying and escalating priority issues

Skills and experience:

  • Excellent numeracy & literacy skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous Customer Service experience
  • Previous administration experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner
