Finance Administrator

Location: Long Ashton

Salary: £21,000-£24,000 DOE

Hours: Full time, permanent

Do you have administration experience in a finance setting? Are you wanting to work within a company that promotes an excellent team culture? Thornbury Community Services has an exciting opportunity for an admin focused individual to join our growing Finance Team. Utilising your finance experience, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining accounts on the company’s sales ledger and associated systems. This is to maximise cash collection by ensuring that all pay/charge rates and billing addresses are correct at the point of invoice. Communicate with specifically identified clients to ensure overdue balances are cleared and contractual payment terms maintained. Seeking prompt flow of purchase ledger invoices by ensuring appropriate approval, accurate coding and early capture within spreadsheet and system.

Key tasks include:

  • Raising of invoices and credit notes & subsequent amendments
  • Collection of some over-dues
  • Financial set-up of new accounts
  • Investigation & resolution of specific invoice queries
  • Coding of purchase ledger invoices/coding of credit card statements Maintenance of spreadsheets & reconciliations as necessary

Skills & Experience:

  • Good level of basic education
  • Numerate & literate
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Administration in a finance setting
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a database and keep records up to date
  • Payroll experience would be an advantage
