Job Scope:

Under the direction of the Head of Perms and the Team Leader, the Senior Recruitment Consultant is a senior member of the consultant Team and they maintain and build on current gross margin by generating revenue, ensuring that sales and profitability meets and exceeds budget forecasted for the team /sector.

Maintaining relationships with existing clients and building new client relationships. Generate vacancies from clients, then to match candidate with relevant qualifications/experience to vacancies. Ensuring quality assurance for the sector / team. A ‘hands on’ operational role.

Key Tasks:

Sales Performance

  • Source and record vacancy information including details such as duties, working conditions, hours, pay rates and any relevant experience
  • Achieve agreed Sales Targets and Revenue Margins within agreed budgeted costs
  • Achieve agreed KPIs for canvassing of new clients, new Associates and telephone time
  • Undertake Client visits under the direction & supervision of a Business & Contract Manager
  • Develop relationships within client organisations
  • Manage client ‘s needs
  • Take ownership of a defined client base within a geographical area
  • Undertake Associate visits where necessary
  • Maintain on-going relationship with associates, whether available to work or not.
  • Ensure all advertisement responses are actioned on the date of receipt
  • Involvement in Exhibitions – follow up on responses
  • Interface with internal departments such as Payroll, Finance & Marketing
  • Exploit cross sell opportunities
  • Strong team player – sharing resources to achieve sales result for the team
  • Contribute consistency higher activity & performance levels than a senior consultant

Client Management

  • Canvass for new clients
  • Canvass for new bookings
  • Build & maintain client data base

Candidate Control

  • Check references of candidates before referral to client – ensure updated references are obtained on completion of assignment
  • Ensure compliance  & quality control documentation (e.g. CRB checks) has been completed prior to assignment to clients
  • Prepare CV and correspondence to forward to client
  • Confirming candidate interview schedule
  • Advise candidates of the success or failure of their application 

Associate Management

  • Canvass for new associates
  • Establish & maintain associate files – ensuring required checks are in place at all times.
  • Ongoing Associate availability calling
  • Encourage referrals from Associates
  • Provide contingency management of Associates when Consultants leave.
  • A level of troubleshooting - ensuring minor problems within the team are dealt with before they escalate 

Quality Control

  • Assists with ensuring branch’s compliance with relevant quality policies and procedures and legislative requirements and keeping up to date with changes as determined by the Quality and Compliance team.
  • Assists with ensuring all candidates cleared for work are compliant with internal recruitment policies and procedures.
  • Assists with preparation of branch for audit by the internal Quality and Compliance team and external authorities
  • Ensure all checks are carried out in line with Company standards
  • Responsibility for answering incoming calls efficiently  – presenting a professional and businesslike manner at all times
  • Resolve complaints/problems quickly & accurately following appropriate procedure
  • Adheres to the company’s health and safety policies and procedures, reporting issues to management if required. 

Supervision

  • Act as mentor to recruitment consultant – setting a good example to the team.
  • Passing on their recruitment skills to specific consultants.

 Decision making authority

  • Ability to act with a minimum amount of management supervision.
  • Involvement in team issues.
